^the original of that Bjork track is a masterpiece.

Not DnB as such but 'My Sound' by Squarepusher has been hitting the spot of late...

I love squarepusher.  Easily one of the best musician ever.  I saw him at splendor in '99 and it was amazing.

check this vid of him on BB2 playing a bass.  OMFG.

Re: Tune of teh week ?

Tim Exile is the fucking man.  He was making gnarly dnb & amen edited craziness years ago, now he's working for Native Instruments with Reaktor and the tactile & live interactivity functionality.

Check out this vid where he basically makes a tune live.  Using Reaktor, 3 x Behringer B controls, qwerty & piano keys, an MPC style midi controller, & microphone.

Truth.  'Pro+Agonist' is honestly one of my most treasured albums - I generally wouldn't be caught dead describing one of my favourite releases as "funky" but that's really the only way you could aptly describe it.  Hits that perfect spot between DnB, IDM and (dare-I-say) even Breakcore.

There's several rolling around, but one particular vid (recorded in '05 or so) where he's describing his equipment and is playing with Reaktor and a Kaos Pad, is mad.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the link but this one will suffice:

'Hard Times' by Pablo Gad, which I came across in this Sideshow mix: http://factmixes.blogspot.com/2009/03/fact-mix-26-sideshow.html

Oh, what I would give for an actual dubstep version...

Yeah - I've seen that one.  That's where he's explaining his Reaktor patch that allows him to cut that shit up.  There is an even earlier video of him doing that shit on the floor or pendulum's lounge room.  I can't find that one either.  We nearly booked Exile about 4-5 years ago because he was supposed to be going to NZ to record some Maori stuff for a movie, but it fell through, and so did our chance to book him, damn it!
