In March 2010 the White Rhino crew go larger than ever before….A Bass and Techno showcase flowing through the day and into the night spread across 2 stages featuring perhaps the most unique and iconic producer to emerge from the past decade.. direct from Bristol via Berlin we are proud to present.... SHACKELTON (live)…

Psychedelic shamanic tones, tribal drum rhythyms and thick flowing surges of sub bass weave and stab around each other to create a surreal sonic landscape of dense and strange jungles bordering moonlit rocky deserts oozing black voodoo energy….This almost comes close to describing the sound of SHACKLETON, but to hear his music is something else entirely. This guys credibility as a rare and unique artist with an uncompromising vision is absoloutely heavy. Besides co-running his own label SKULL DISCO, which levitated him to God status in the global bass scene, his collaboration with Ricardo Villalobos on his single “Blood On My Hands” was recently voted #27 in the “Top 100 greatest dance tracks of the decade” on industry bible Resident Advisor and he was one of only a few artists to feature twice in the list. Upon descirbing his impact as a producer RA claim "By the end of the '00s, Sam Shackleton was widely considered to be dubstep's most artistically advanced rule-breaker."

His relocation to Berlin over a year ago has had an obvious influence on his direction, with his debut "Three EP's" album last year, released on legendary House and Techno imprint "Perlon" pushing his sound further beyond genre and scene restrictions, seeing him embrace a tighter sound more focussed on the dancefloor and the altered mindspace.

Things kick off at 2pm in the afternoon and rolll on into the night with a huge support line up featuring 20 dj’s spread across two stages…..

Sunday Afternoon 2pm-11pm @ Barsoma - $15 on the door.

Just heard his will be Citizens last gig before he sadly departs us, so all the more reason to support one of brisbanes best local beat smiths

Note the late guest appearance from one of Australia's most prolific upcoming dubstep producers - 3RDEYE (Subcontinental Dub) from Byron Bay!!! If we can follow up with anything similar to the wicked parties (KANA & DANK MORASS) from last weekend, this should be a hell of allot of fun!

Just want to say a big thankyou to all that made it out to support!!!

The whole day was perfect and you can tell it really makes a difference being a sunday in that everyone who makes the effort is there because they want to be and there to make the most of it. Big up to you all!

With regards to SHACKLETON holly shit!!!! dave pretty much summed it up above but honestly that was seriously up with the best if not THE best piece of music ive ever heard in my life. UNBELIEVABLE!!

He ended up playing for well over an hour and a half and i had atleast 10 moments where i thought it couldnt dare to get any better and was probably about to finish but just when it did he'd just bring something perfect from the deepest darkest depths of the voodoo spirit that completely blew my mind!! and i wasn't even on anything besides booze..

Completely destroyed even our highest expectations and just goes to show why he's so well respected by the best. We didnt expect so much energy in the music and certainly expected some ambient wasted time but it was constantly pumping and no one stopped moving till the very end..

Mind blowing set and an absolutely wonderful and very interesting guy - almost a cross between the original sherlock holmes and an ancient british jungle explorer.

Thanks also to all Dj;s who played inside and out.. Everyone killed it and it was a great day to share it with you all.. Thank you all!!
